Lumen explains what learner data is collected, why it is used, and how export or deletion requests are handled.- Account, learning, payment, device, and support data are used to operate personalized English practice.
- Audio, writing, and source materials are processed only for learner feedback, safety, quality, and requested product features. Raw speaking audio is kept for 30 days; AI prompts are kept for 365 days, redacted only, and skill estimates and review schedules are deleted on request. Payment, tax, consent, and seat records are kept only in redacted form.
- Family use: any signed-in adult can create single-use family codes to add family members, and records consent for a child or teen before they start; a guardian's view shows progress only, never a learner's writing. School use stays controlled by guardian or school approval, age-banded content, and disabled open-ended minor chat.
- Learner memory is visible and editable at any time: view what Lumen remembers, fix it, mark it private, or delete it.
- Learners can export a copy of their data or delete their account themselves from their account privacy settings, or start deletion from the public account deletion page.
Manage your data from your account privacy settings, or start deletion from the account deletion page.
