Terms of Service
Lumen's Terms of Service cover how the service works, subscriptions and purchases, refunds, and account termination.- Service description: Lumen provides AI-native English learning practice, feedback, and spaced review; it is not a certified testing body.
- Accounts and eligibility: learners must be 13 or older, or have verifiable guardian consent, to create or use an account. Minors join through a family code from a parent or through a school or organization context, with consent recorded before they start.
- Acceptable use: no sharing of accounts, abuse of the service, circumvention of usage limits, or misuse of AI feedback features.
- Subscriptions and one-time purchases: subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; one-time purchases grant access as described at checkout. Card details, invoices, and cancellations are managed through the account billing portal.
- Refund policy: one-time purchases may be refunded within 14 days on request through the account page; subscriptions cancel at the end of the current billing period with no partial refunds except where required by law.
- Termination: Lumen may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms; learners may close their account at any time.
- Changes: these terms may be updated, with material changes communicated through the service or by email.
